POINT PLEASANT HISTORY SITE

*WELCOME TO THE POINT PLEASANT (BEACH) POSTCARD PAGE*

Here you will find a wealth of historic images of the Point Pleasant (Beach), New Jersey area as captured by the various post card publishers over the past 100 years.  These post card views are among the most important record of change in any community throughout the country.  Being a coastal community and resort, Point Pleasant, NJ was fortunate to have thousands of post cards published documenting the ever-changing scene.  I have included a caption with each image to make it easier for you to know what and when you are seeing. Just click on the categories below and enjoy a trip into the past....

PLEASE NOTE

Portrait oriented cards have been left in landscape (they'll be on their side) to make the format uniform.  Just download the image and use any photo editing program to rotate the card.

Many post cards were stock photos that the publisher used for many communities and just stamped a community's name on it.  I call these cards "generic" and although the view may have nothing to do with Point Pleasant, I still consider it a Point Pleasant post card. Most of these generic cards were greetings cards and appear in the first section.
